Local Dental Practice Provides Essential Services to Honor Those Who Have Served
Washington, PA – September 27, 2024 – Veterans and active-duty military personnel in Washington, PA will have the opportunity to receive free dental care on October 10, 2024, courtesy of Freedom Day USA at Dr. Elizabeth Wakim’s newly relocated office. The event, taking place at 620 N Main St, aims to address the critical lack of access to dental care that affects millions of veterans nationwide.
According to the American Dental Association, fewer than 10% of veterans qualify for VA dental benefits. As a result, many veterans face untreated oral health issues that can lead to more severe conditions, such as heart disease and diabetes. Freedom Day USA provides these veterans with vital dental care services they might otherwise miss out on.
“Veterans have given so much to this country and deserve access to quality care. It’s our honor to give back,” said Dr. Wakim.
